Exhibition and Protest: “Stop Executions in Iran”

Protest at No.10 Downing Street

On Saturday 17th August, in line with our current urgent campaign, Inspired volunteers staged a protest at Downing Street, London, to shed light on the alarming number of executions in Iran in the last 2 months.

Some of our charity aims are that we highlight violations of human rights carried out by the Iranian regime for the public and offer advice to the government and concerned human rights bodies on helpful steps that they can take to support the Iranian people and prevent further executions from taking place.

Therefore, each petition that you sign adds to the growing international voice calling to Stop Executions in Iran!

You can read more about this urgent campaign in Our Campaigns

At the same time, we set up an information stand which provided a great opportunity to talk to the passing public and raise awareness about these horrific violations of human rights.

Those who stopped by, also signed petitions addressed to the UN Secretary General, and generously donated to the campaign.

Exhibition at Trafalgar Square

A few day prior on 9th August 2024, Inspired volunteers also assisted with an exhibition in Trafalgar Square where they highlighted some of the historical cases of human rights abuses carried out in Iran over the last 4 decades.

The public were shocked as they spoke with the volunteers, many of whom are witnesses to these atrocities and have endured the brutalities of the Iranian regime.

Members of the public signed our petition and asked what more they can do to support our campaign
